Headspace Invaders was made by Netsafe in partnership with Youthline, centring the voices and perspectives of young people every step of the way.
The content was co-designed with rangatahi aged 13 to 17 from across Aotearoa, including members of Netsafe’s Youth Action Squad. Their experiences and ideas helped shape what is covered and how it works, making sure it feels real, respectful, and useful.
Youthline developed the content, drawing on what they hear from young people every day. The process was supported and guided by academics and subject matter experts to ensure everything is safe, inclusive, and based on evidence.
Headspace Invaders was funded through the Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) Fund, administered by DIA and DPMC. The fund supports community-based approaches to preventing harm and building resilience.
